A medieval tower defence
Hold the walls. Pay in people.
Boschapocalypse is a tower defence in which the city itself is the resource: you draw your walls by hand, set towers into them, and pay for every stone with the lives of your own citizens.

What it is
-
Draw a wall, not a grid
Walls are drawn by dragging a line across the land. The pieces are laid out evenly, follow the ground and turn with it — stone is never stretched to fit.
-
Towers stand inside the wall
A tower set onto a run takes the block beneath it: the wall closes around it, and the tower fires from the niche that faces its target.
-
Gates appear where roads cross
A road under the line becomes a gate, so a wall can cut the map without cutting the traffic that keeps the city alive.
-
The city pays
Citizens are the currency. Every wall, tower and gate is bought with people, and the monsters that reach the city take more of them.
